Hua Hin is one of the most popular holiday spots in Thailand due to the excellent beach resorts which offer accommodation in high class hotels. In the last century Hua Hin was a small agricultural village. In 1921 the director of the state railway built there the first hotel called of course the Railway Hotel, settled close to the beach. King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) liked the place so much that he built there a summer palace named "Wang Klai Kang Won" or "Far from Worries". The building is so magnificent and the surroundings so enchanting that turned this palace into the full-time residence of the actual King of Thailand! Prince Krom Phra Naresworarit was the first member of royal family who build a another group of palaces at Ban Laem Hin, called Sukaves, and he gave the name of Hua Hin to the beach next to his property.

After the Thai southern railway was developed, the entire region became a very popular holiday destination. Nowadays luxury hotels in Hua Hin offer great accommodation and high class amenities, attracting in this way a large number of tourists. Beaches in Hua Hin are just amazing and top tourist attractions, the water is crystal-clear and warm and as result vacation activities and water sports such as swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, parasailing, jet-skiing and water-skiing can be practiced there very successful!
