Holiday In Hua Hin, Thailand

Hua Hin is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Thailand due to the excellent beach resorts and high-class hotels. It is located in the northern part of the Malay Peninsula, at 125 miles (200 kilometers) south to Bangkok, and therefore tours to this awesome travel destination featuring many attractions and things to do can be taken with ease even from the capital city.

In the last century, Hua Hin was a small agricultural village. In 1921 the director of the state railway built there the first hotel called of course the Railway Hotel, settled close to the beach. King Prajadhipok (Rama VII) liked the place so much that he built there a summer palace named "Wang Klai Kang Won" or "Far from Worries". The building is so magnificent and the surroundings so enchanting that turned this palace into the full-time residence of the actual King of Thailand! Prince Krom Phra Naresworarit was the first member of royal family who build another group of palaces at Ban Laem Hin, called Sukaves, and he gave the name of Hua Hin to the beach next to his property. Today all these edifices are major holiday attractions of the region and are visited during various tours organized by local travel agencies.

After the Thai southern railway was developed, the entire region of Hua Hin became a very popular holiday destination. Nowadays luxury hotels in Hua Hin offer largely upscale accommodation amenities, attracting in this way a large number of tourists. Beaches in Hua Hin are awesome and represent top attractions to people interested in beach holidays because the water is clear, warm and very inviting, being just perfect for aquatic sports such as swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, parasailing, jet-skiing and water-skiing.
